The journal “Studia z Polityki Publicznej / Public Policy Studies” is a quarterly journal that publishes academic papers. Its profile refers to the Anglo-Saxon analytic tradition known as public policy.

The articles focus on the issues of public policy in its various dimensions, including:

- Analysis of public problems (challenges, risks).
- Analysis of public actions (reforms) in various types of policies (sectoral and horizontal).
- Stakeholder networks of specific policies (policy communities), their interests, mutual interactions.
- Concepts or theories of public policy (including sectoral policies).
- Models and cycles in a given policy (from the diagnosis of the problem to the evaluation of the solution).
- Attitudes, values, motives of actions of policy actors (e.g., the role of trust among stakeholders, ability to cooperate).
- Methods for evaluating results in policies.
- Indicators demonstrating the results of public activities.
- Mechanisms of resource allocation in public action (market and its fragility, state fragility).
- Sources influencing the shaping of public policies (e.g., intellectual, social, cultural, historical).
- Sources of knowledge in selected policies (policy knowledge); knowledge brokers (expert networks).
- Decision-making processes and styles of action in public policy (unilateral vs. partner actions, anticipation of problems vs. reactivity).
- Institutional factors co-shaping public policy (e.g., party systems, parliamentary systems, public administration).

We kindly invite you to submit papers devoted to economic, social (e.g., welfare, social security) or infrastructural (e.g., energy, transport) policies, as well as policies regarding education, higher education and horizontal policies (e.g., regional policy, public strategies).

The scientific journal “Studia z Polityki Publicznej/Public Policy Studies” receives books for review purposes. If you are interested in contributing with a review of specific titles, please contact dr Andrzej Klimczuk, Editorial Secretary of the journal (aklimcz@sgh.waw.pl). Inform us of the book title that you wish to review, your affiliation, and the secure postal address you would like the book to be sent to (home address is fine).

By agreement with Editorial Secretary, you may also submit book reviews of titles that have not been received or collected by the journal’s Editorial Board, provided that you have a copy of the book you wish to review.

Guidelines for Book Reviews:

The book review should contain the following information:

- Author(s) contact details (name and surname, institutional affiliation, city, country, e-mail address, and ORCID identifier).
- Book review title should be in the following format: Author/Editor Full Name and Author/Editor Full Name (eds.) (year). Book title: Subtitle. Place of publication: Publisher.
- Abstract: max 1500 characters – about 200 words.
- 5-7 keywords.
- JEL Classification Codes: 3-5 codes; codes are available here.
- Main text (and subtitles if needed) of the book review.
- Conclusion.
- Author Contributions (mandatory for all articles, including articles by sole authors).
- Conflict of Interest (mandatory for all articles).
- In-text citations/notes and references in the book review are not necessary. However, if used, please follow the APA style. The journal does not use footnotes and endnotes.
