Abstract

In the 2nd quarter of 2018 business situation in the trade sector deteriorated. The IRG SGH trade confidence indicator (IRGTRD) quarterly decreased by 5.5 pts to -0.1 pts. It is now 3.4 pts down from the respective 2017 figure, and 2.7 pts down from the second-quarters' average over the last ten years, which amounts to 2.6 pts. Though the indicator declined the majority of the balances increased, including the balances of changes in overall standing of trading enterprises and of their financial situation. The surveyed traders expect their trading activity to increase over the next quarter.(original abstract)
