Nr 55 (2025): Journal of Management and Financial Sciences

Dear Reader,
This 55th edition of the Journal of Management and Financial Sciences presents a diverse collection of articles that explore critical areas of management, finance, and related disciplines, reflecting the ongoing challenges and developments in these fields.
The opening article by Joanna Cygler and Katarzyna Dębkowska investigates the intricate relationships between businesses and various stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, competitors, financial institutions, research centres, and public administration entities. The study, conducted on a sample of 170 companies using multidimensional correspondence analysis, highlights how the dynamics and directions of changes in business ecosystems, influenced by the COVID-19 pandemic, were shaped by shifts in demand.
Joanna Dominowska, Adrianna Lewandowska, and Jacek Lipiec provide an insightful analysis of family foundations, a new legal instrument in Poland. Their article examines the historical, legal, and economic context of this initiative and forecasts the dynamics of its adoption, offering a timely exploration of this evolving area.
In a systematic literature review, Piotr Pietrzak, Agnieszka Kucharska, Małgorzata Cieciora, and Wiktor Bołkunow explore the use of social media in marketing activities within higher education. By analyzing 78 studies sourced from Scopus, their work synthesizes key findings and contributes to the understanding of digital marketing in the academia.
Boyan Ivantchev’s contribution delves into behavioural finance, emphasizing the influence of psychological biases on decision-making. Drawing from the extensive literature, research, and laboratory experiments, the article enriches our understanding of the interplay between human behaviour and financial decisions.
Finally, dr Israfil examines the impact of debt maturity structure on stock price crash risk (SPCR) in African economies, with a focus on the moderating role of accounting standards such as the IFRS and national GAAP. Using data from 514 publicly listed non-financial firms across six countries between 2007 and 2020, the study employs generalized least squares panel regression to test its hypotheses, offering valuable insights into financial risk management in emerging markets.
We trust that the diverse topics and rigorous analyses presented in this issue will contribute to scholarly discourse and inspire further research in the fields of management and finance.
We hope that you find this edition both informative and inspiring. Thank you for your continued
