Abstract

In the 1st quarter of 2018 the construction confidence indicator (CCI) takes value of 2.8, which is 5.7 lower than in the previous quarter but 17.9 points higher in comparison to the figure of the 1st quarter 2017. The positive and much higher value of the indicator than a year ago indicates a relatively weak impact of the seasonal factor on the activity of the construction industry in the first quarter. The source of such a favorable construction situation may be, above all, a mild winter, because the high growth rate of the trend observed throughout 2017 has now fallen to zero.(fragment of text)
