Abstract

In the 2nd quarter of 2018 the construction confidence indicator (CCI) takes value of 28.6. The seasonal increase in construction activity in the second quarter, which amounts to 25.8 points, is lower than one and two years ago, and is also lower than the average value over the last 10 years, which equals to 30.0. The fast-growing trend of the construction confidence indicator in 2017 in the current quarter has changed its direction towards a declining one. An analogous change is observed in the case of production volume, orders, capacity utilization, employment, assessment of the overall economic situation and the situation prevailing in construction.(fragment of text)
