Koniunktura w handlu : II kwartał 2016 Badania Koniunktury Gospodarczej Instytutu Rozwoju Gospodarczego SGH

Abstract

In the 2nd quarter of 2016 business situation in the trade sector deteriorated in comparison with the previous quarter. The IRG SGH trade confidence indicator (IRGTRD) quarterly decreased by 3.2 pts to +5.9 pts. It is however 2.2 pts up from the respective 2015 figure, and higher than the firstquarters' average over the last ten years, which amounts to +3.5 pts. Although the indicator declined (when compared to the last quarter) the balances of the change in firms' general and financial situation, inventories, domestic and foreign purchases, employment and sales volume increased. Firms are optimistic, and assess their economic standing as good. They expect it continue improving in the next 6 months. (fragment of text)
