Abstract

In the 4 th quarter of 2021 agriculture confidence sharply declined. The agriculture confidence index (IRGAGR) dropped by 13.6 pts to -11.7 pts, and is lower than one year ago by 6.2 pts. Expenditure on fodder, pesticides and plant protection products slumped, together with investments in machinery and buildings, to the levels that have not been recorded in the last decade. The propensity to credit hit the record low. The farmers' prospects over the next quarter dimmed.(original abstract)
