THE INFLUENCE OF SUPPLIER RELATIONAL CAPITAL MANAGEMENT ON INNOVATIONS DEVELOPMENT IN SUPPLY CHAINS

Abstract
Supplier relationship management has received increasing attention in the recent supply chain management research and literature as well as in business practice due to its significance in building value and competitive advantage of contemporary companies. Supplier relational capital is a strategic resource of companies managing supply networks. The purpose of this paper is to outline the impact of supplier relational capital management on innovations development in supply chains. The findings based on both the literature review and empirical research presented in the article allow to conclude, that the supplier relational capital management is a strong catalyst for innovation development. Suppliers are main business partners in B2B relationships, participating in innovation co-creation in supply chains of manufacturing companies in Poland.
