Abstract

The issues of the article includes the philosophy of management sciences. The purpose of this article is to determine the epistemological status of forecasting in the sciences of management on the basis of deterministic ontology. Given that the aims of the study are systematizing and cognitive, they have been used for logical analysis and conceptual synthesis. The effect of the article is to formulate definitions of concepts such as data, information, knowledge, forecast and forecasting. It has been proven that, unlike natural sciences, the epistemological status of forecasting in management sciences is negative. The reasons for this state are described and explained.
