Abstract

The aim of this article is to present various forms of cooperation between university and socio-economic environment from the perspective of the open innovation model. Three groups of forms are proposed: the first group consists of forms related to the dissemination of knowledge, the second group is related to mobility, joint research and commercialization of knowledge, and the third group is connected with the economic activity of the university. The risks related to various forms of cooperation are discussed, especially regarding intellectual property rights and state aid rules. The article presents the examples of the use of various forms of cooperation by foreign universities and national legal and organizational conditions related to the various forms of cooperation in the model of open innovation.
