Teoretical Basis for a New Approach to Regional Policy

Abstract
A new approach to regional policy derives from a desire to increase the effectiveness of actions taken. Looking for a way to enhance the effectiveness of spending means. The works are focused on cohesion policy associated with the concept of territorial development. Thus understood development associates with the specificity of an area and its inner potential. The key importance is assigned to activation of the endogenous potential.Taken measures are focused on the phenomenon of the network, research and development activities support and assistance to small and medium-sized enterprises.In the development process, constant cooperation between different levels of government, businesses and local communities is needed.(original abstract)
