Abstract

In the 2nd quarter of 2016 the construction confidence indicator (CCI) grew by 26.6 pts. It amounts to +12.8 pts and is 3.4 pts up from the 2nd quarter 2015 figure. Though the increase is likely to continue in the next quarter, the trend of the indicator, which has been growing at a fast pace for the last six months, changed its direction and is declining now. All the main balances, excluding the balance of prices, are rising but the increases are due to seasonal factors. Construction firms expect the main economic indicators of their activity to keep going up in the next quarter. (original abstract)
