Abstract
In the 2nd quarter of 2016 sentiments of Polish households have deteriorated. The IRG SGH consumer confidence indicator (IRGKGD) decreased by 2.0 pts (after improving in the first quarter by 5.1 pts). The decrease of the indicator was mainly due to deterioration of consumers' forecasts of the overall economic situation in Poland and their ability to save. The two other components of the indicator, specifically the fear of losing jobs and anticipated households' financial situation over the next 12 months, remained at levels similar to the previous study ones. IRGKGD adjusted of short-term fluctuations still shows a clear upward trend. (original abstract)
