Abstract

In the 1st quarter of 2017 the construction confidence indicator (CCI) declined by 4.0 pts to -15.1 pts. It is 1.3 pts down from the 1st quarter 2016 figure. The decrease of CCI broke down the upward trend that had been developing for last two quarters. Due to the seasonal slowdown in construction activity the indicator calculated for most of the surveyed groups of construction firms is small and negative. The only two exceptions are: Southwest Region (including the Lower Silesia and Opolskie Voivodeships) and firms employing more than 100 employees. (original abstract)
