Abstract
In August the IRG SGH barometer (BARIRG) quarterly increased by 1.3 pts to +2.5 pts. It is now by 8.7 pts higher than one year ago. As a rule, in the third quarter of a year BARIRG goes up from a second-quarter figure due to positive seasonal factors. The current value is higher than the third-quarter average which amounts to -6.8 pts. The long-term average of the indicator rose in the last year, and now equals to -9.3 pts. The indicator is in a growing trend effected by recently rising confidence in agriculture, construction industry and households. The confidence indicators for other sectors show horizontal or declining tendencies in last quarters.(original abstract)
