Abstract
In the 2nd quarter of 2019 consumer confidence deteriorated. The IRG SGH consumer confidence indicator (IRGKGD) quarterly dropped by 3.1 pts, offsetting the increase recorded in the previous quarter (3.2 pts). Consumer sentiment is influenced by the expected slowdown of the economy and, consequently, fears of getting unemployed. In comparison to the 2nd quarter of 2018 IRGKGD declined by 7.4 pts. The downward tendency, which began nearly two years ago, is proceeding.(original abstract)
