Abstract

In the 3rd quarter of 2019 general economic situation in Poland worsened. The IRG SGH barometer (BARIRG) decreased by 4.5 pts to -5.2 pts, and is 9.5 pts down from the respective year 2018 figure now. Usually, at this time of a year the indicator grows since positive seasonal factors are still strong. This year, however, the barometer turned to downswing, primarily due to declining tendencies in the manufacturing, construction and motor transport industries, with the banking, trade and households moving in a side trend.(original abstract)
