Abstract

The rate of decline in the trend indicator, which has been decreasing for over two years, has slowed down in the current period. A similar change applies to trends: production, employment, orders, the level of capacity utilization, prices of construction services and the financial situation as well as assessments formulated by construction companies on the situation of the entire economy and construction. It should be noted, however, that in each of these cases the current quarter is the first period of improvement, so positive forecasts for the future should be treated with caution. The current boom in construction is positively affected by this year's exceptionally mild winter. The surveyed entrepreneurs confirm this by placing the weather conditions barrier only in 7th place on thelist of 10 analyzed barriers. In the first quarter of 2019, 2018 and 2017, the weather was ranked number 3, 2 and 4, respectively. (fragment of text)
