Abstract

In the first quarter of 2023, the IRG SGH construction confidence indicator (CCI) has a negative value of -14.3 points, lower by 1.0 pts than in the previous quarter and 6.8 pts down from the first quarter of 2022. High prices of energy and raw and construction materials, high interest rates, low demand on real estate and supply constraints on raw and construction materials are the main factors that affect current business activity in the construction industry.(original abstract)
