Abstract

In the 3rd quarter of 2023, the IRG SGH construction confidence indicator (IRGCON) has a negative value of -4.6 pts, lower by 5.4 pts than in the previous quarter and by 3.3 pts than in the third quarter of 2022. The current economic situation in the construction industry is much weaker than on average in the third quarters of 2017-2019 (i.e. before the COVID-19 pandemic), when the mean of IRGCON amounted to 17.2 pts.
