Abstract
The article presents the main conclusions resulting from the considerations on the efficient functioning of the continuous improvement system as a very important element of the company's development in the contemporary market conditions. In addition to discussing the essence of the concept, it presents the basic elements and stages of building a continuous improvement system in the company. In the final part of the study, applicable conclusions are presented. As a research method, in addition to the analysis of the source literature, the analysis and synthesis of the results of many years of research and the author's empirical experiences were primarily used. The article is addressed in particular to managers who are in practice obliged to deal effectively with the difficult conditions of the contemporary environment.
