Abstract

Process automation is most often associated with physical solutions used in an organization. In addition to hardware robots, a separate group of robots is called Robotic Process Automation (RPA), which can be used to automate repetitive business processes, replacing human work. RPA solutions are becoming possible to use in small enterprises due to their price and ease of use. The purpose of this paper is to analyze a project involving the application of RPA tools in an accounting office and to identify the determinants that affect the success of RPA implementation in optimized processes. For the purposes of this study, the capabilities of software robots were determined, and the robot was implemented in the accounting office as a tool automating the invoice accounting process. Based on the analysis of implementation works and the effects of robots' work, the possibilities and potential applications of solutions automating (assisting) business processes in small entities were determined.
