Abstract

Contrary to what was expected situation in the banking sector deteriorated. In the 1st quarter of 2020 the IRG SGH banking confidence indicator (IRGBAN) decreased from -6,3 pts to -21,3 pts. The declinewas caused by the drop in the balances of profits, result on banking activity and employment. Banks are expecting the situation to continue worsening in the 2nd quarter - the leading indicator is equal to -34.1 pts.(original abstract)
