Tourist movement monitoring system - Artificial intelligence as a tool for monitoring and forecasting tourist traffic - organizational and legal aspects

Abstract

The aim of the project is to develop an IT solution supporting Tourist Traffic Monitoring. The need to implement the project results from the fact that there are no tools on the market that would allow monitoring the actual volume of tourist traffic for the entire country. These activities will consequently lead to the development of instruments that will actively stimulate its growth and provide the tourism industry with reliable information that will allow making decisions regarding investments in the hotel and catering industry, as well as supporting tourism activities. The system is to use real-time data processing mechanisms and artificial intelligence algorithms to combine data from various sources and analyze traffic structure and forecast its changes. Ultimately, the platform will enable both the study of the size and verification of the development directions of the tourism market, the verification of the effectiveness of the promotional tools used, and will allow for the evaluation of promotional strategies and provide basic data recommending the possible need for investment activities.
