Abstract

In the 3 rd quarter of 2022 the financial confidence indicator (IRGFIN) quarterly declined by 26.7 pts to -5.6 pts. It is expected to fall even more in the 4th quarter (to -20.3 pts). Its main component, the banking confidence indicator decreased by 40.6 pts to 0.0 pts, whereas its prognostic value equals to -21.7 pts. The survey respondents were particularly gloomy about the risk level, their profits, overall economic situation in Poland and general situation of the financial sector. They indicated monetary policy and law instability as the key barriers to their activity.
