The role of management accounting in the designing of innovative business models

Abstract
An innovative business model is defined in literature as a model that allows for identification of opportunities for innovation in every aspect described by the business model. The article presents the areas of application of management accounting tools in creating and implementing innovative business models. Based on the analysis of the business model canvas, the authors presented areas, in which management accounting allows for implementing innovation, as well as the tools that can be used to obtain information on specific areas.
