Where does the New Silk Road lead to?

Abstract
The New Silk Road is a Chinese project of a new trade route connecting Asia with Europe. The scale and costs of this infrastructural investment arouse admiration, but at the same time also anxiety related to the economic expansion of China and its effects on the political sphere. The essay is the voice in the currently ongoing discussion on this matter.
