The paper aims to discuss the publication by the International Atomic Energy Agency titled ‘Management of Nuclear Power Plant Projects’. The publication provides information on how the project management framework for nuclear projects should be put in place. It is intended to enhance the capabilities of individual countries to plan and implement nuclear power programmes. By creating the framework for project management, the stakeholders may together acquire experience in selected processes, use it more effectively and improve the outcomes. The implementation of an adequate management system must be integrated with the corporate management system of an organization. Project management system is integrated with the environment hosting all project processes and procedures. The selection of adequate methodology and using adequate guidelines for project management are crucial. The specificity of nuclear technology and nuclear project management consists not only in delivering a finished product but in delivering a sustainable solution that can be managed throughout the life-cycle of the project and is able to engage other stakeholders.
