The presented article discusses the significance of multiculturalism in project management, particularly in the context of working in an international environment. Contemporary projects often require cross-cultural collaboration, which poses new challenges for managers, such as differing communication styles, motivational approaches, and conflict resolution strategies within teams from diverse cultural backgrounds. The authors emphasize that traditional management methods are not always effective in such an environment. This article provides a synthetic review of models for measuring cultural differences, such as those proposed by Hofstede, GLOBE, and Erin Meyer, which can help managers in effectively overseeing multicultural teams. Based on the review, the authors have formulated recommendations for managers of multicultural projects.
