Analysis of the potential and scenarios for the use of artificial intelligence in project management

Abstract

The article addresses the topic of using artificial intelligence (AI) in project management, analyzing its potential and possible directions of future development in this field. The aim of the study is to identify key areas in which the use of AI may significantly affect project efficiency, and to construct comprehensive scenarios for the development of new technologies. Based on a literature review and the use of the scenario planning method, the authors identified two key areas of uncertainty: the level of autonomy and technological advancement of AI and the degree of organizational adaptation and trust in these systems. Then, four alternative future scenarios were presented, which differ in the cultural readiness of the organization to use AI technology. The results of the analyses indicate that the key condition for effective AI implementation is not only technological progress itself, but above all conscious management of the human factor, organizational adaptation and the development of digital competences in project teams.
