Abstract

The article focuses on how the practitioners perceive the term ‘hybrid enterprise’ and on the impact ofhybrid practices on organizational performance. The text makes a broad overview of the semantic fieldand meanings associated with the term ‘hybrid enterprise’ in subject-matter literature and discussesthe results of questionnaire-based surveys conducted on a sample of 31 people. These results confirmthe initial assumptions about the difficulty in unambiguously defining the concept of a hybrid enterpriseand the fact that practitioners are relatively little familiar with the term.
